Afghan Community Center in Paris, France

We are a faith-based non-profit working on the front lines of the migrant crisis in Europe.

It is our mission to provide a holistic approach to caring for the physical, spiritual, and mental wellbeing of  refugees.

The Lighthouse Community Center

In 2020 we opened “The Lighthouse” right in the center of Paris.

Isolation, stress and depression plague refugees during their first few years of transition into a new society. Our community center provides a place of belonging, welcome and guidance.

We believe in the concept of doing life together which allows us to create a community where ideas and beliefs are shared with a foundation of friendship and respect.

Our leadership team is comprised of an Afghan refugee and his American wife who have a heart to reach out to his people together.

Activities at The Lighthouse

Learning French is the foundation for a refugee’s future. We offer French language workshops in order to facilitate relationships and language learning with local believers.

We also provide administrative assistance such as creating CV’s so refugees can find jobs, translation services and help with legal papers.

During open hours the café is a place of welcome and community where there are always lively conversations over free tea, games of foosball, and even a kitchen for cooking Afghan food!
